Felicia Besan was born in Moldova into a family of musicians and her passion for music and the arts was nurtured from a young age. She started studying the viola at the age of 10, under the guidance of her mother. Felicia later attended the George Enescu National Music School in Romania and then moved to the United States to continue her musical education. She has won numerous national and international competitions while in Romania and participated in music festivals in the United States, France, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. Felicia is an alumna of Lynn Conservatory of Music class of 2011, 2013, and 2015, where she studied with Ralph Fielding. An avid chamber music player, Felicia’s string quartet was one of the winners of the Lynn Conservatory Chamber Music Competition and the quartet was featured in the Miami Mainly Mozart Festival in May 2015. Felicia is currently violist of the Delray String Quartet and a performing artist with Palm Beach Symphony and Florida Grand Opera. She resides in South Florida with her husband and young daughter.
