The Gene Project is a New York-based ensemble that is reinventing and expanding chamber music and it’s repertoire. After collaborating in various different musical ventures, harpist Kristi Shade, bassoonist Adrian Morejon and clarinetist Nuno Antunes, decided it was time for something fresh. The result is a unique and exciting sound. Given the lack of repertoire for this specific instrumentation, The Gene Project sought out new avenues, dedicating time to creating their own custom arrangements, as well as commissioning works from the composers of our time. The Gene Project gives new perspectives to existing pieces and continues to develop and encourage an innovative music genre.
